Lublin and our Lubelskie Province are the unique spots on the map of Poland and Europe. It is worth finding out by coming here. This is a place for the meetings of cultures of the East and West, coexistence of the Polish and Jewish cultures, a business and science friendly environment and a land full of places for recreation.
I kindly invite you to participate in the Polish-American Congress to experience 1000 years of our history and 100 years of Independence, to learn and feel from Poles the same longing for freedom, which built the United States of America. The Congress in Lublin will be the next event on the map of Polish and U.S. history.
the Governor of the Lubelskie Province
The Polish-American Congress „100 years of Common Heritage” is a perfect occasion for meeting at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, which celebrates its anniversary – 100 years in the service of God and Homeland.
I invite my friends from the USA: representatives of business, science and culture. For many years KUL has used the help of Polish Community in the United States, cooperated with scientific and cultural centers. Today we would like to present the results of this cooperation and declare the openness in the area of commercialization of knowledge, good practices, innovative undertakings or exchange of students and academic staff.
Let KUL as the first university in independent Poland be a place of celebration of the common history of the USA and Poland.
Rev. Prof. Antoni Dębiński,
Rector of KUL
The Congress aims at developing and fostering relations between Polish and American scientists, artists and businesspeople, which are based on common history.
